The Headteacher of SDA M/A JHS together with some staff have been accused by a Parent of not being able to account for monies contributed by parents for the purpose of Purchasing Texts Books, Paying a Security Man and supporting School Activities.

According to a parent who spoke with Upper West Media Team on request for anonymity, the parent indicated that in 2024. The Headteacher, Mr. Sotenge Zunkara outlined several tasks he intends to achieve in the school including Moving the School’s Primary School Block to Kpaguri in partnership with stakeholders.

He Pledged to procure textbooks for some subject areas including Creative Arts and Design, Career Technology books to support teaching and learning. He also revealed that there was the need to pay a security Man to watch over the school at night to scare away miscreants.

After the pledge to the PTA, the Headmaster was unable to procure the books as promised and wasn’t also able to Pay the security Man they hired triggering some tensions.

When the Headteacher was contacted, he indicated that some people had borrowed the money whilst the rest couldn’t be accounted for by one of the spending officers.

The parent has called for an investigation into the matter to curb future occurrence after PTA was suspended on 13th November 2025.

The Headteacher in July Threatened to Transfer a Teacher by Name Ahmed Fori Suraj for threatening to reveal the information to the media.
