A Lecturer of University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC), Dr. Stephen Tindi has today, 4th December 2025 Commended Upper West Media Team via Phone call for an outstanding milestone of serving upper West Region with reliable Media content for a decade (10 Years).

He said there was the need for more regionally focused content in broadcasting to bridge the gaps in media publicity.

He extended a digital support service to Upper West Media Team by shortlisting Upper West Media App and Upperwestmedia.net for a Google project.

He emphasized on consistency and credibility for long standing Media development in the country.

Upper West Media Team appealed for a satellite campus of UniMAC to be established in Upper West Region and Dr. Tindi assured it was a systematic process to commence from Tamale as far as the northern belt is concerned.

Upper West Media App celebrated a ten year milestone on the 12th of July 2025 after serving the Upper West Region since July 2015 as the oldest digital Media platform in the Region.

The media was adjudged 1st runner up in the Dafra Awards festival for the 5 Regions in the North in 2022 held at Sem B Lodge in Wa. Awarded by Cobb Callistus Domesovi, the chief Executive Director.
