A cloud of grief has settled over the Wa magazine enclave after a young man—believed to be in his late twenties—was found dead between two trucks at Wa magazine. The incident has left artisans, drivers, stunned, as many recall seeing the victim only hours earlier, alive and hard at work.

According to preliminary information, the deceased is suspected to be a Burkinabè national who had travelled from Kumasi to Wa after trailing a truck that required mechanical attention. What began as a routine repair assignment would, tragically, become his final job.

An eyewitness recounted seeing the young man working diligently on the truck during the early hours of the day. “He was quiet but focused… just doing his job,” the witness said. “I never imagined that later I would find him lying motionless.”

The heartbreaking discovery prompted immediate calls to authorities. Officers from the Ghana Police Service arrived swiftly at the scene and arranged for the body to be conveyed to a medical facility. An autopsy is expected to shed light on the cause of death, though the community has already been shaken by the sudden loss of a life many describe as humble and hardworking.

As investigations continue, artisans in the area are left grappling with sorrow, reflecting on the uncertainties faced by young men who travel long distances in search of honest livelihood—sometimes paying the ultimate price.
