A Yet to be identified man has been found dead within Charia Electoral Area in the Wa Metropolis on the 6th of December 2025.

Some community members spotted the deceased Person on the ground close to a baobab tree in Charia along the Loho Charia Road early hours of 6th December.

Speaking to an eyewitness by name Pastor Joshua Kpili near the Scene, he indicated that they were shocked to see the lifeless body near their community Loho and indicated that some vehicle types left traceable marks at the scene creating the suspicion that a vehicle could have been used to the scene to dispose of the body.

In an interview with Mr. Kantaaye Dapare, Landlord of Charia, he spoke about plans to cleanse the land after the unfortunate development.

“We were told someone had died and was on our land so we came to witness what happened, we don’t know him. If we are to burry him, we have to cleanse the land.”

Mr. Victor Anunyele, Assembly Member Rep. For Charia Electoral Area spoke extensively on the Issue.

“It’s a worrying situation, around 7 o’clock, I was given a call by one of the Unit Committee Members telling me that they’ve seen a body between Loho and Charia so I quickly called the Police in Charge of Charia to move and see what is happening. The face is not familiar and there are Indications that the body was brought to this place. We cannot confirm that he was lynched because there is not open errh, unknown marks on him. We can’t talk much until autopsy is done on him. For now we are allowing the police to do their work, if anything should be done it will be later..”

The Upper West Regional Police Command was present including the Regional CID Officer, Mr. Denteh to Convey the body for investigations.
