The Upper West Regional Police Command headed by DCOP Francis Yiribaare has outlined steps being taken in their investigation of a case involving a Domestic Bursar of Wa Technical Institute, Madam Hawawu Batong and Mr. Adamu Dassana after Madam Hawawu’s Private Residence was forced Opened on the 29th of November 2025 and some food items seized and handed to the Police as a Result.

Speaking to the Domestic Bursar, she indicated that the free SHS Coordinator forced his way into her house with a Pistol demanding to see what is in her kitchen without a search warrant.

The Upper West Regional Police Command has issued a Statement After the Development, outlining Steps being taken in the investigation process.

Statement

We also received a complaint of some items that were found with the domestic Bursar of the School And they included food items in particular. You can talk about some 37 or 36 or 37 bags of rice were found in her accommodation, some quantities of things of sardine or mackerel, some milk, tomatoes, and some others, including sugar and Gari.

And we are still investigating this to establish the validity of the complaints and to see the culpability of the woman at the center of it. And once these are established, if she’s found culpable, we shall put her before the court.
