On 13th December 2025, Prof Hamidatu Darimani was officially Outdoored as First Female Vice Chancellor of Dr Hilla Limann Technical University, a public Tertiary Institution formerly known as Wa Polytechnic.

The Outdooring Ceremony was carried out by Prof. Fobil, Chancellor of the University in the Presence of several Stakeholders including Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister of Labor, Jobs and Employment.

After the Investiture, several students were awarded certificates after the 7th Congregation Ceremony was successfully held at the forcourt of the Library Complex.

Prof. Darimani Pursued a higher National Diploma in Tamale Technical University in 2003 after Completing her High School program of Study at Lassia Tuolu SHS.

She Offered her National Service at Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University formerly Wa Polytechnic and Offered an MSC and Post Graduate Diploma in Water Resources and Management in Europe. She was Offered a Scholarship by JAICA after she was Employed by Wa Polytechnic as a Lecturer in 2008 to Offer a PhD Program and Successful Graduated with A PhD in Water and Resource Management.

Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University has received a 400 Bed student Hostel Project from GTEC to be completed in 18 months within the University Campus in Wa, Upper West Region, the sod cutting Ceremony was on the 12th of December 2025 by Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing, Upper West Regional Minister.
