There has been significant level of traffic at the Wa Police Roundabout since Yesterday, 23rd December 2025 after a long vehicle with registration number 7775 G 03 BF, carrying a 32 feet container Veered off the road in an attempt to curve towards the Wa Airport – Kaleo Road.

The driver was detained at the Wa Police station for his safety whilst the Ghana National Fire Service was present to ensure all fire protocols are observed.

Speaking about the nature of the roundabout that resulted in the accident, the Mayor of Wa Metropolis, Alhaji Nurah Issa Danwana indicated that the big push project by the government will take effect soon and in the process the roundabout will be taken care of.

Today, 24th of December 2025 at about 12am, officers of the Ghana National Fire Service were at the accident scene to tow the Vehicle to a safe place away from the road.

Several vehicles have been involved in accidents at this point and drivers blamed the accidents on the wide nature of the roundabout.
