The Waala Traditional Council Headed by Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV has in a letter Dated 14th January 2026 has granted his endorsement for the Wa Tendamba Primary School to be relocated whilst it’s land is converted into a 24 Hour Economy Market to boost Trade and other Economic Activities.

This was after broader consultation and dialogue with The Upper West Regional Coordinating Council Headed by Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing the Upper West Regional Minister and the The Mayor of Wa Metropolitan Assembly, Alhaji Nurah Issa Danwana.

LOCATION FOR 24 HOURS’ MARKET

I am pleased to inform you that our discussions with the Tendamba on the above subject yielded positive results.

It was unanimously agreed that the proposed Tendaamba Primary School site is the most suitable location for the project.

Permission is thus given for the Municipal Assembly to initiate the processes that would lead to the establishment of the market there.

The relocation of the Tendaamba Primary School as proposed and outlined by the Assembly should be done immediately so as not to inconvenience or leave the pupils of the school in a limbo. Thank you.
