Yesterday ( Thursday February 26, 2026) the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Peter N. N. To-ang visited the Sabuli–Hain road project, which is being constructed under the Big Push Project. The visit was to assess the progress and check the quality of work done so far.

Mr. Peter To-Ang met the contractor on site and work was ongoing. He urged the contractor to carry out the work according to the required standards and to avoid any poor workmanship.

The contractor assured the Honourable MCE that the project would be completed with high quality.

The first layer of coating has already been applied and the second and third layers will also be done soon.

The Municipal Chief Executive used the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to the contractor to consider constructing at least one dam along the Sabuli–Hain road.

The contractor responded positively to the request.

When this dam is constructed, it will serve as a source of water for animals and also support dry-season farming in the area.

The Honourable MCE remains committed to working in the best interests of the people of Jirapa.
