A Gender Activist, Politician who serves and Deputy Regional Women’s Organizer of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned who abandon responsibilities including payment of fees, Rent and provision of feed to women to take care of.

She responded to a query on Meta’s Tell it All Platform seeking to find out the role women play in marriages.

“As a married woman, what financial responsibility are you taking in your home to help your husband?”

Florence Kpan, a Deputy Women Organizer of NDC Slammed the man of her life tagging him as one who cares less about his own responsibilities.

“I do everything from children school fees to rent and food. He will still come to me for money, the most painful thing is that he thinks it’s my responsibility.”

The statement sparks debate about the State of marriages in the Upper West Region and as to whether men actually carryout their responsibilities at home or not.

It can be recalled that An officer in charge of Gender in Wa, Madam Gyinsung Shelter condemned the growing rate of irresponsibility in marriages indicating that some men give as low as Ghc100 to their wives as upkeep for 30 days(one month).
