Several Students who have applied for admission at the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS) have expressed shock after they were given 45 Days deadline to pay their fees or have their admission withdrawn.
Admission were issued to Several Students on the 16th of March 2026 and students are expected to pay Their fees on the 30th of April 2026 whilst The program is to kick start on 5th September 2026.
The concerned students who saw the deadline as too short indicated that the move could affect the University’s enrollment in coming years because several students indicated that the deadline was a move to make pursuit of university education difficult.

Considering economic situations in the Northern Belt, several students questioned why the deadline was pegged at 30th April, 45 Days after issuing admissions whilst The Program is to officially commence in September 2026, four months afterwards.
The student commended the swift admission notices but condemned the shot deadline for payment of fees.
They called for the Vice Chancellor, Prof Deribile and the Upper West Regional Minister, Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing to intervene.
The University had its name changed from SDD UBIDS to UBIDS by Parliament in January 2026. Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS) was established by the Government of Ghana in 2019 through Act 1001 of Parliament. It was formerly the Wa Campus of the University for Development Studies (UDS) before gaining full autonomy
