A former NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Wa West Constituency, Mr. Saatiri James Has released some posters signaling his intentions to contest for the position of Upper West Regional Treasurer in the Impending New Patriotic Party’s regional Elections.

The elections of regional executive officers are scheduled for 8 and 9 August 2026, followed by data entry and validation of results from 10 August to 23 August.

Checks revealed that Mr. James has declared his support for Alhaji Alaska Kanton and has joined his team in the campaign trail.

Mr. Saatiri James Contested the 2024 Parliamentary Elections on the Ticket of the New Patriot Party (NPP) but lost to Mr. Peter Lanchene Toobu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

So far Two party faithfuls have come out expressing interest in the Position of Regional Chairman including Alhaji Aziz Rahman popularly known as Chairman White who was acting Regional Chairman after the Demise of Dr. Saanbaye Basilide Kangberee in Mid 2024, another person who has declared Interest is Alhaji Alaska Kanton who is also a regional Executive.
