Rainfall Recorded on Wednesday 29th March 2023 has left several people in parts of Dafiama North and other electoral areas homeless with some Properties destroyed.

Speaking to an Assembly Member of the Area, Madam Mary Assumpta, she affirmed the Sad Development to Upper West Media Team indicating much needs to be done to Assist the affected people.

Roofs of houses were ripped off whilst leaving some Community members stranded. This has triggered the Member of Parliament for Dafiama-Busie-Issa Constituency, Dr. Sebastian Sandaare through his Communication Team to call on the National Disaster Management Organization headed by Mr. Ahmed Mustapha to Come to the Aid of Residents.

“I received the sad news of a rainstorm disaster which ripped off many houses and offices in Daffiama and surrounding areas.

Schools and the Ghana Education Service, I’m told, are severely affected.

I wish to commiserate with the affected for the several loses.
Even as I take steps to visit the area to see for myself, the extent of damage, I call on NADMO to step in swiftly to assist the people.”
