
The lack of electricity supply in the Ul-Kpong-Ul-Gozu electorial area in the Jirapa municipality is affecting quality health care delivery .
The Assembly member for the area honorable Huudi Imori speaking to Info Radio about development challenges in his electoral area revealed that , the lack of electricity in coomunities within his electoral area and at health facility in the Ul-Kpong community is adversely affecting health service delivery at the facility.
According to him, health personnel at the facility have to resort torchlights and mobile phone light to attend to health emergency cases sent to the facility at night.
He said the constant lack of essential drugs at the facility is also a challenge the people at the community face when accessing healthcare services.
The assembly member has therefore appealed to the Jirapa municipal assembly and the government to extend electricity supply to the community to enable residents enjoy quality health care services from health personnel stationed at health facilities in the electoral area.
On education, The Ul-Kpong-Ul-Gozu Assembly members also expressed worry about inadequate teachers at basic schools in the electoral area , a situation he described as the cause of the poor performance of student in the Basic Education Examination, BECE.
