The Jirapa Municipal Chief Executive, Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri has made a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Roads and Highways to as a matter of urgency assist the municipality in the completion of some selected Jirapa town roads.

He made the appeal through the Upper West Regional Director of the Department of Urban Roads in a letter dated July 12, 2023.

“The Jirapa Municipal Assembly wishes to appeal to your office as a matter of urgency to assist the municipality in the completion (gravelling/sealing) of some selected Jirapa township roads.”

These roads according to the MCE “have become unmotorable and inaccessible by residents these areas as the rains that have set in have eroded and damage them.”

Some of the selected roads are as follows;
Biana Lodge-Zaghe junction road, SSNIT-Vapour-Dapilahyiri road, Lorry station inner road, Zokyieri-Dubai link road, Ganaa school link road, New market-Magnnet Lodge link road, Mac CNaughty-Catholic church link.
