Jirapa

BECE officially begun on Monday 7th August 2023. 566 boys and 666 girls which sum up to the total number of 1,232 have been registered which have started writing the 2023 BECE across three centers (A,B,C,and D) in the Jirapa Municipality in the Upper West Region. These centers are St. Francis of Assisi Girls SHS A&B, Jirapa SHS C and Ullo SHS D.

The Member of Parliament of Jirapa constituency who also doubles as the Parliamentary candidate for the constituency has expressed much appreciation to the ongoing 2023 BECE candidates.

Hon Peter To – ang represented the MP on the donation at St. Francis of Assisi Girls SHS challenged the candidates to excel in their examination while encouraging them to make the most of the time in learning and hardwork to pass the BECE left onto them as parents and government.

As part of the refreshing manner for the 2023 BECE candidates of the municipal Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilah (Tongsunne Naa) has donated a fiscal cash amounting to GH¢19,600 to all candidates across the Jirapa Municipality. The event took place across all the three WAEC centers in the municipal on Tuesday 8th August 2023.

Hon To – ang revealed that, the offer is to ginger students to feed well as they are writing the final 2023 BECE examination that would help them clamp the highest level of the social welfare. The donation is also a way of supporting what parents may do to keep their wards satisfied as they can concentrate fully in the exams he added.

Hon Peter To – ang the constituency secretary of the NDC presented an amount of GH¢9,075 to various Headteachers for onward delivery to the candidates at St. Francis of Assisi Girls SHS center, GH¢5,650 was presented to various Headteachers for onward delivery to the candidates at Ullo SHS by the Communication officer and an amount of GH¢4,875 was also given to the to various Headteachers for onward delivery to the candidates at Jirapa SHS by the Zongo Caucus Coordinator Mr. Mohammed Omari AKA Sas.

Hon Peter To – ang added that this donation from Hon Cletus is the second investment for the BECE in office since he supported the GES Directorate of Jirapa Municipal for purchasing of fuel for suppervision which amounted to GH¢5,000 in order to contribute to improve the education in the municipal.
