Jirapa Tampaala Road

Residents of some two adjoining communities, Saabaalong and Tampaala in the Jirapa municipality have organized a communal labour to refix a washed-away bridge on Jirapa-Tampaala road, a road that interlinks the Community the municipality.

The said bridge was washed-away on 28th of April 2023 by heavy rainfall accompanied with significant nimbostratus.

Some youth in the two farming communities have embarked on series of communal labor to get that portion of the road they described as a death trap fixed.

Assembly member for the area together with his unit committee members were part of the initiative.

Hon. Felix Dabuo donated 10 bags of cement in support of the communal project.

Also, the member of parliament for the Jirapa constituency Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah donated Ghc1000.00 to support the work while the constituency secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) also supported with Ghc100.00

Another son of the area Mr.Benjamin Suglo aka Wisdom 15, the constituency deputy youth organizer for the National Democratic Congress who is a native of Tampaala also supported with Ghc500.00 and also added an appeal for NGOs and all who have the community at heart to come to their aid.

Mr Blaise Samani, the youth chairman expressed worry over the nature of the Community’s road.

He praised Madam Diyaka former DCE for the then Jirapa District Assembly for her support some years back when a similar incident happened on that same road.

Mr. Blaise appealed to the municipal chief executive, Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri

to Attend to their plea because the youth aren’t enthused with how the Municipal Assembly addresses issues of the electoral area.

Previously, Reports About the bride, road were submitted to the municipal Chief Executive to take some pragmatic steps in order to get the road fixed, he disclosed that the said road was awarded on contract hence assembly has no funds to undertake the project currently.
