A Reverend Sister with the St. Theresa Parish in Nandom by name Sr. Anastasia Belnye, SMI passed on 8th August 2023.

This was Revealed in a letter Dated 11th August 2023 and Signed by Reverend Father Cornelius Naah Bayirinoba, Diocesan Administrator.

She was Seventy Eight Years of Age and her funeral rite shall be held at Dafiama in the Dafiama-Bussie-Issa District.

With profound sorrow, pain and a heavy heart, I regret, on behalf of the College of Consultors of Wa Diocese, to inform you that our dear brother, Rev. Fr. Ralio Faaviel, has this morming (12th August 2023) returned to the Heavenly Father. He was 61 years old.
Please, kindly convey this sorrowful news to all the faithful within your parishes, institutions and communities and solicit their prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of Rev. Fr. Ralio Faaviel.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be communicated later. We continue to share the firm trust that the Lord whom Rev. Fr. Ralio Faaviel faithfully served will grant him the peace of his Kingdom.

Dear Brothers & Sisters in the Lord,
Please accept warm greetings from the Catholic Diocesan Secretariat, Maria Yiri, Wa.

The Superior General of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate, Rev. Sr. Christina Pogbeyir, has informed me that Sister Anastasia BELNYE, SMI, one of her Sisters, died on Tuesday, 8th August 2023.
Born on 30 August 1944, she was over 78 years old. She had barely 22 days more to attain 79 years.

The deceased Religious isa native of St. Theresa’ Minor Basilica parish, Nandom. Until her death, Sr. Anastasia Belnye was in residence in the convent of the above mentioned parish.

The funeral and burial will take place in Daffama on the 22d September 2023. The Superior General of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate and the General Council will communicate later the details of funeral arrangements.

We continue to share the fim trust that the Lord whom Rev. St. Anastasia Belnye faithfally served will welcome her into the bosom of His Kingdom. Yours sincerely in the service of the Lord.
