Madam Josephine Advocated for the Use of Smock as Friday Wear

A Teacher With Wa Municipal Education Directorate has advocated for both Private and Public Schools to use Smock as a Friday official wear for students in both Basic and Senior High Schools in the Upper West Region and beyond.

In an Interview with Upperwestmedia Team, Madam Josephine Siukuu was optimistic that when the development is achieved, it will go a long way to project and market our Ghanaian Costume, the Smock regionally, Nationally and even globally.

“I have been in this business for over Six years projecting smock and making good designs and costumes out of it, we design smocks to befit various occasions such as weddings, Funerals, Naming Ceremonies, Political Events and many other related issues.”

“If we can introduce smocks in both private and public schools as Friday wear, it’ll go a long way to define us well and shape the local economy for gains, we can also introduce it sports and school culture activities.”
