The Upper West Region recorded 996 Cases of Covid-19 with 46 deaths According to Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, the Upper West Regional Minister.

He Disclosed the development when he Joined Muslim Ummah at Lawra Municipality for Prayers on Friday 2nd June 2023.

“When Covid Struck our Country, Our Region was not Spared, cumulatively, 996 individuals were affected, out of this number, 46 individuals unfortunately lost their lives but as people who believe in the existence of Almighty God, we appreciate what God has done for us hence the need for us to congregate and show appreciation to God.”

Meanwhile President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo a week ago announced that Covid-19 Pandemic was over in Ghana.

Paramount Chief of Lawra Traditional Area, Naa Puowele Karbo III commended the President for his swift measures put in place in fighting the Pandemic.

“..I have always sided with the President, we can always bring the economy back to track but can’t bring humans back when the die..”
