The President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo released appointment list of MMDCEs for his second term in September 2021, this was after series of agitations from stakeholders and some concerned groups.

Several MMDCEs were retiamed inthe Upper West Region Including the DCE for Nadowli-Kaleo, Madam Katherine Lankono, DCE for Dafiama-Busie-Issa, Mr. Nadi Sanda Imoro and MCE of Wa Municipality, Mr. Isaahaku Tahiru Moomin. However, The former MCE for Nandom, Mr. Thaddeus Arkong Aasoglenang opted to step down on Personal grounds.

Some MMDCes were also retained by the President but Assembly Members of those areas voted them out. These areas include Jirapa Municipality and Lawra Municipality.

These are the Various MMDCEs and Works they were into or their professions.

1. Wa Municipal Chief Executive: Mr
Isaahaku Tahiru Moomin: He is a Chartered Accountant by Profession and worked with the Ghana Health Service.

2. Wa East District Chief Executive: Dr. Ewura Kandia Suleman, He is was a lecturer and Still a Lecturer at the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS), he is an Expert in Management information Systems. He was also this Presiding Member of Wa East District Assembly before his appointment. He took over from Mr Moses Jotie.

3. District Chief Executive of Dafiama-Busie-Issa: Mr. Nadi Sanda Imoro was a Civil Engineer with PW Ghanem Company popularly known as Wadea Company before he was Appointed as District Chief Executive.

4. District Chief Executive of Wa West District, Madam Vida Diorotey, She was with the Wa West District Education Office before her Appointment, She is a Teacher by Profession. She took over from Late Edward Sabo Laabiir.

5. Municipal Chief Executive of Jirapa, Mr. Nicholas Soyiri: He is a Lawyer by Profession and was actively Practicing as a Lawyer before he was Appointed as Municipal Chief Executive, he took over from Madam Christine Amadu.

6. Municipal Chief Executive of Sissala East: Mr. Fuseini Batong was with the Non Formal Education Division Now an Agency before he was Appointed as a Municipal Chief Executive, He took over from Mr. Karim Nanyua.

7. Lambussie District Chief Executive – Mr. Naluri Gerald George was A Professional Teacher with Ghana Education Service Before his Appointment as a District Chief Executive he took over from Mr. Braimah Wikana.

8. Municipal Chief Executive of Lawra, Mr. Jacob Dery was with the National Disaster Management Organization(NADMO) beofr he was Appointed as Municipal Chief Executive he took over from Mr. Martin Bombaire.

9. Municipal Chief Executive for Nandom, Mr. Raymond Nero was a Non Teaching Staff with the Ghana Education Service, he served as A Procurement Officer for Nandom Technical School before his Appointment as Municipal Chief Executive. He took over from from Mr. Thaddeus Arkong Aasoglenang.

10. District Chief Executive of Nadowli-Kaleo, Madam Katherine Lankono was a Teacher before she was Appointed as District Chief Executive.

11. District Chief Executive for Sissala West, Aisha Imoro Batong Hor was a Banker Before she was Appointed as District Chief Executive.

Meanwhile, the Regional Minister, Who is the Overseer of the MMDCEs was a Professional Teacher with Ghana Education Service.
