Former Asante Kotoko captain Ismail Abdul-Ganiyu has complete his move to Iraqi side Al-Talaba Sports Club on a one-year deal with an option to renewal.
He will stay with the club until 2023.
Abdul-Ganiyu’s contract was expected to expire next year 2023 with Kumasi Asante Kotoko but he left the warriors at the beginning of the 2022/23 football season.
In the 2021/22 season, he was a key man at the back for the Porcupine Warriors and helped the club to emerge as Champions of the Ghana Premier League.
The defender has signed a one-year contract with the Iraqi club and will be playing a key role for the club.
Al-Talaba Sports Club is an Iraqi sports club based in Al-Rusafa, Baghdad. Its football team competes in the Iraqi Premier League, the top flight of Iraqi football.
