The West African Examination Council has issued a statement to Schools in Upper West Region and other Regions for failing to capture records of BECE Candidates within the stipulated deadline which was 14th June 2023.

According to the Letter, 528 Junior High Schools in the Country have not captured Data of their candidates for WAEC to begin Processes of Conducting the Exams. Three Schools in Upper West Region have been shortlisted and they are captured in the Letter Below.

OUTSTANDING CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT SCORES

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has in a letter dated 27th June 2023 infomed the Director-General that the deadline for the capture and uploading of candidates’ Continuous Assessment Scores (CASS) ended on
Wednesday, 21st June, 2023.

However, there are five hundred and twenty-eight (528) schools (both public and private) with a total number of sixteen thousand, seven hundred and sixty-three (16,763) candidates have stil not uploaded their CASS.

In view of the above, WAEC has extended the period to 14th July. 2023 for the outstanding schoos to capture and upload their scores.

By this letter, Regional Directors are requested to bring this information to the attention of the Metro/Municipal/District Directors of the affected schoos and impress upon the Heads to upload their scores before the 14th July. 2023 deadline to enable WAEC meet fimelines for key activities regarding the examination.
