Day Students of TI Ahmadiyya SHS

Few days ago, over 100 Students were tasked to provide TI Ahmadiyya SHS with 3 bags of cement, another issue has popped up triggering public pulses In the Upper West Region.

Eighteen Students of the Senior High School headed by Mr. Issahaque Yahaya were charged with stealing from nearby farms around the school, some of the items the students were Accused of stealing included Tubers of Yam and a Goat.

According to whistleblower in the Institution, the school’s administration charged each of the 18 Students Ghc300 each and changed their status from Boarding students to Day students.

This meant that the students will have no access to the school’s premises and some meals after school.

According to the Ghana Education Service (GES) Code of Ethics, section three, subsection twenty five, unauthorized collection of monies from students is barred.

3.25 Unauthorized Collection of Monies,  Fees or Levies
No staff shall collect unauthorized monies, fees or levies from pupils/students without the permission of the Director General of the GES.
