Wa: ‘Camboo’ Drivers increasing Accidents – Residents of Wa

Some residents within the Wa Municipality if Upper West Region have expressed frustration over the manner in which “Mahama Kumbuu” drivers drive in recklessly within the Municipality.

According to the residents, most of the Mahama Kambuu drivers are small boys and do not know road rules and regulations. In addition they said the ‘Kambuu’ drivers do take U-turn on the middle of the road without caution or notification to other road users which is supposed not to be so.

The residents also mentioned that, the ‘Kambuu’ drivers stop anyhow on the road and do not respects traffic too, they also noted that some of the drivers use the ‘Kambuu’ to steal.

The residents however suggested that, government should number the Mahama Kumbuu’s in town to help people identify them if one cause confusion.

According to the Regional Chairman of Upper West Tricycle riders Association,  Mr. Salifu Sabogu, he noted that efforts are being put in ace to hold a close door meeting with the riders and owners in order to address the concern.
