The Member of Parliament for Wa Central Constituency Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo has shared his thought on the ongoing leaked sex tape bruhaha that has become a major issue and topic of discussion in Parts of Upper West Region and Ghana.
According to Dr. Pelpuo who went poetic with his statement, he compared the situation with an instance where a thief is killed during operation.
“Armed robbery is not good and it doesn’t mean that when they catch an armed robber he must be killed, but he can be killed in the act. So if you don’t want to be killed desist from robbery”
Several people gave welcomed his statement referring to it as timely and prudent.
According to Tahiru Lukman
“My Take on Wa Central MP comments on the aftermath of the flogging of sex tape victims
I have been a strong critique of the MP for Wa Central Hon. Alhaji Rasheed Hassan Pelpuo (P.hD) regarding his overall influence and impact on youth development.
Nonetheless, he has won my heart regarding his comment on the sex tape leak scandal. It shows he has high respect for customs and traditions.
What is important is effort to discourage the youth from ill behaviour.
He said “Armed robbery is not good and it doesn’t mean that when they catch an armed robber he must be killed, but he can be killed in the act. So if you don’t want to be killed desist from robbery”
Leadership indeed is about appreciating and defending practices and values.
Hon. I salute you!
