The Wa Nursing Training College will soon start a degree in nursing programme at the school. This came to light when the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha went there to handover a 6-Unit Classroom block constructed for the school. The principal of the school who made the disclosure said the school for the past two years have recorded 100% pass in the final examinations.
Currently, the school runs registered nurses programme as well as health assistants programmes. Under the tutelage of Hon Putiaha, the school have gotten a number of projects including a storey building dormitory block and classrooms.
The handing over of the project forms part of five other projects that the MCE handed over. They include four health centres at Sokpayiri, Guli, Fongu and Dokpong, a 3-Unit Classroom block at Chegli.
Opinion leaders from all the beneficiary communities expressed their gratitude to the MCE and assembly for timeliness of the projects. They assured the MCE of putting to good use.
Hon Putiaha assured them of the commitment of the John Dramani Mahama led NDC government towards bettering the lives of every Ghanaian and improving the standard of living in every community. He added that the #ChangingLives and #TransformingGhana drive that President John Mahama has embarked on not a rhetoric but something that is visible in all corners of the Ghanaian society and on all spheres of the lives of Ghanaians.
