The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary in Wa has cut sod for the construction of a clinic for the school.
The PTA is constructing the clinic to celebrate the school’s sixtieth anniversary.
Speaking during a short ceremony to cut the sod, the PTA Chairman, Mr. Lawyer Sparatus Ongoh, said the PTA has supported the school in diverse ways including renovation of the dormitory and classroom block.
Mr. Lawyer Ongoh added that as part of the anniversary, the PTA is also donating the health facility to the school to enhance quality health delivery and also promote sound minds among students to perform academically.
Mr Sparatus Ongoh thus indicated that the clinic will be serving as the first point of call to the students, teachers and the Diocese as well.
He, however, appealed to philanthropic individuals and the old students of the school to come and support the timely completion of the clinic project.
