
The Upper West Regional Hospital has been Disconnected from the National GRID by VRA/NEDCO for Owing the Company an Undisclosed Amount of Money.
Revealing the Development to Upper West Media Team, a Journalist with Home Radio Network, Mr. Adil Fuseini Indicated that the Disconnection took place today Wednesday 26th of April 2023.
Construction of the US$52 million 160-bed capacity Upper West Regional Hospital facility started in 2014 and was financed by Euroget-De Invest, an Egyptian company.
The Upper West Region owes VRA/NEDCO Ghc107 million and as part of efforts to recover the losses, the Company went on an operation 17th of April 2023 to disconnect some Institutions from the National GRID, the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies was one the Institution with High Debt of Ghc8.8 million, followed by Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University owing Ghc2.2 million. The Wa Nursing Training College Owes Ghc26,000
Some Other Institution Owning but weren’t disconnected include the Wa Naa’s Palace and Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies.
