The Passport office in Upper West Today has become a system that creates opportunities for several people in the Region to have access to a passport in order to tour the world without visiting other regions to queue, it also serves as an important national identification document.

The Project was proposed by the Former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister,  Hon. Amidu Chinnia who is currently Member of Parliament for Sissala East Constituency and Deputy Minister for Water and Sanitation.

“Today I had the pleasure of receiving the director of passport in my office. This is a follow-up meeting he had with my boss about two months ago on establishing a passport office in Wa. I took him and his team to inspect the office accommodation allocated for a new passport office by the regional minister. The president agenda of ensuring every region has a passport office Is on course and the people of upper west will soon we be spared the ordeal of seeking for passport in Accra or Tamale. “
