Prince Boateng eyes Black Stars return, remains unapologetic

Estranged German born Ghanaian midfielder, Kevin Prince Boateng, has revealed his desire to once again pull on the national colours of Ghana and represent the Black Stars.

The 29 year old midfielder has not represented Ghana since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil following his expulsion along with then AC Milan teammate, Sulley Muntari over issues of indiscipline.

Boateng who is reported to have hurled swear words at head coach Kwesi Appiah has been in the finest vein of form since the World Cup following his decision to join low profile Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas.

He has played a total of four hundred and ninety two minutes spread over eight matches, and in that period has found the back of the net four times.

Despite his frosty relationship with the Ghana Football Association, Boateng says he will not rule out a return to the team ahead of Russia 2018.

“It is for every player a dream to play a World Cup. If there would be a chance to play a third World Cup I would not say no.

“There are not a lot of players who can say they played in three World Cups. But before this happens we have to have a lot of talks because I don’t want to go back with a bad spirit.

“If I would go back, I want everything to be perfect so we can work perfect together.”he told CCTV Africa.

The indefinite ban handed him by the GFA remains binding and he is expected to render a written apology before his re-introduction into the Black Stars is considered.

However he remains adamant that he did absolutely nothing wrong and insists that he was a target for certain people who did not want him in the Black Stars.

“There were people who had a problem with me.

“I don’t know for what reason. They had their reason but they made them up. I think it was not the right decision that they kicked me out,”revealed a defiant Boateng.
