Ghana to host 2018 Women’s AFCON

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have confirmed CAF’s mandate for Ghana to officially host the 2018 Women’s Nations Cup tournament.

Chairperson of the Black Queens Management team, Madam Leanier Addy received a flag from CAF at the just ended championship in Cameroon, to symbolize Ghana been given the right to host the next championship.

The Executive Committee of the GFA on Monday received the mandate (flag) from Madam Leanier Addy ahead of the GFA national congress.

Eight countries will participate in the tournament which will be staged over a two-week period.

The Championship will also serve as a qualifier to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
