The Deputy Minister for Roads and highways on Friday September 1st held a meeting with dignitaries in his office in Accra.
The Meeting was pertaining to rural electrification in his district as a major concern to the people and himself.
The project will be held in partnership with a Chinese company.
Mr. Anthony Karbo Wrote This on his facebook Wall:
“On Wednesday, I hosted a meeting with Hon. Kennedy Agyapong MP, the Honorable DCE for Lawra Martin Bomba-Ire and a delegation from China to discuss setting up a 50 Megawatt Solar Power Plant in the Lawra Constituency.
This project, when completed, would not just serve the Lawra Constituency but would be capable of supplying power to the entire Upper West and Upper East Regions of Ghana.
We intend, as a Constituency, to dedicate 300 acres of land towards hosting this investment.”
