The District Chief Executive for Wa West Mr Edward Sabo Laabiir was on Tuesday 31/10/17 announced at the second session of the general Assembly meeting in Wechiau that he has inherited a total debt of Two million three hundred and fifty-six thousands Ghana cedis(Ghc 2,356,000) from the previous government.
He also disclosed that a total of 50,840 bags of fertilizer received for planting for food and jobs. 20,000 bags have since been distributed. Also 574 bags of seed inputs including rice,maize,sorghum etc
He said a total of 2,546 hector equivalent of 636 acres of farmlands were planted this year representing an increase in 530 acreage of farm land cultivated.
According to him Mr. adamu Dassanah, his predecessor left nothing behind to look up to except compiling debts he is working to resolve.
