According to the district chief executive of Jirapa district, robbery on the Jirapa-Nadowli road has increased in recent weeks, on the 19th of November 2017, a group of travellers including students and traders were attacked on the their way to Jirapa with their items including mobile phones and cash taken away.
One of the victims disclosed to us his Ghc1200 was taken from him.

I also wrote to the interior ministry to seek for a vehicle since our vehicles are old and ineffective, this can help with the patrol duties to boost security, the petrol shells in Jirapa were also contacted to see if they can play a role, the road from nadowli to Jirapa through Babile to Lawra is unsafe as of now”
