Seven executive members of the Progressives People’s Party (PPP) in Wa, Upper West Region have resigned from their positions and also seized to be the party members.
The erstwhile executives from both Constituency and Regional level said they can no longer tolerate the one man party leadership skills potrayed by the PPP.
The officials are Mr Suleiman Sufuyan, Wa central Chairman; Alhaji Zakari, Vice Wa central Chairman; and Abdulai Jalilu, Wa central constituency secretary.
Others include: Mr Alhassan Nizoomdeen, regional Organizer; Mr Ahmed Mustapha, regional youth organizer; Mr Alhassan Abubakari; deputy youth organizer and Mr Abdul-Salam Badiu, deputy regional secretary.
Mr Abdulai Jaliu who was constituency secretary until the resignation at a press conference said the PPP dose not have a leadership hence things are not going on well.
Mr Jalilu stated that, the party’s account has been held by single person who which makes it operations difficult.
“We are no more part and parcel of any political party known as PPP,” he emphasized.
The former Constituency secretary said they will soon announce to the public which party to join.
He however asked to know whether the Progressive People’s Party was a fun club or a true political party.
“PPP is the only party without a mandate and are organising elections on credit,” Mr Jalilu hinted.
He stated that PPP is the only party that a mobile banker is far better than an executive member.
