Slow pace of Development in Wa East under Akufo-Addo worrying – Dr Jasaw

A Senior Lecturer of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has bemoaned the slow pace of development in the Wa East District of the Upper West Region, especially in the last two years of the Akufo-Addo led government.

Dr. Jasaw, who was also the Deputy Campaign Manager for Former President Mahama’s flagbearership contest made this known while donating sets of computers to some schools in the Wa East District.

He indicated that he had gone round the constituency and felt disturbed about the slow pace of development in the region for the past two years.

He expressed his willingness to continuously support the constituents by liaising with cooperate bodies and other agencies to provide some of the basic amenities needed to ameliorate the living conditions of the people in the district.
He explained that the set of computers he donated to Funsi RC Basic School and Kundugu Basic School, were provided by the NASCO Feeding Minds Foundation which is working to improve ICT Education in Northern Ghana.
Dr Godfred Jasaw, who made these donations in the company of the NDC Branch executives of Funsi and Kundugu, called on individuals and other development partners to support the District in these trying times and assured the constituents, that he will use his “wide network to support more schools in the District with teaching and learning materials”.
