The Upper West Regional Youth commanders of the opposition party, NDC, led by a brilliant and smart young man, Nicodemus N.B.D Dery and the national youth organisers led by our industrious youth commander, Mr. George Opare Addo, a.k.a Pablo trained and built the capacities of the youth commanders from the various branches to the constituency level.
The Upper West Region under the able leadership of our youth commander, Nicodemus N.BD Dery, happens to be the first region to have organised excellently, its branch youth organisers in some number of selected constituencies across the region.
The programme which commenced with the Nandom constituency on 13th August, 2019 ended with a climax in Wa, the regional capital of the Upper West Region on 18th August, 2019. The programme was anchored on the theme, “Harnessing Synergies For Electoral Victory; The Role Of The Youth”. The programme was graced by high profile and seasoned politicians in the region.
The likes of Hon. ASK Bagbin, Rt. Hon. 2nd deputy speaker and longest serving MP, Hon. Yieleh Chireh, Hon. Ing. Alhaji Amin Amidu Sulemani, Hon, Mahmud Khalid, Hon. Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, Hon. Kale Ceasar were personally present at the programme.
Their presence and contributions added colour and rejuvenation of the various youth commanders who were present.
Indeed, this capacity building and training workshop has re-energised and fortified the youth commanders to wrestle power from this substandard government led by the insincere, dishonest and ungrateful old man, president Nana Addo, who has gained the notoriety of plagiarising, renaming institutions and re-writing the history of Ghana.
Beyond his flowery rhetoric, Nana Addo has demonstrated clearly that he is unable to get hold of the key issues that are troubling the people of this country, the reason why he engages in renaming exercise and rewriting the history of this country.
The guest speaker, Rt. Hon. Bagbin journeyed the youth through the historical antecedent, the present and the future of this country and NDC on the topic, “The NDC And Youth Development – Past, Present And Lesson For The Future”.
NDC really has the real men for the job. It was refreshing and gratifying listening to this global icon. The spirit of the youth was ignited by the content of his delivery.
He has awaken the youth from slumber and we are poised for action. We are not leaving any stone unturned. We will spare no effort of ours in the pursue of victory in the 2020 election.
Another power packed delivery that gave hope and foresight to the various constituency youth organisers of the party was presented by our resource person, the former deputy regional minister, Hon. Kale Caesar and now the national deputy director of research, (a position he has just been appointed to occupy), on the topic, “Effectively Organising For Elections 2020; Factors To Consider”.
His presentation gave directives to the youth on what to do to capture power as embodied in the topic.
In fact, the speech of our brilliant and brave regional youth commander, Naamwin Beter Dometiero (NBD) Dery Nicodemus, was very inspiring, catchy, revitalising and reassuring. The spirit of the youth was invoked and sustained and the results will soon be brought to bare.
I will on behalf of the trainees, conclude by commending our indefatigable and industrious national youth commander and his able deputies as well as our gallant regional youth commander and his able lieutenants for the experiences, knowledge, courage, confident and assurances they gave us. We shall in unison and collectively work tirelessly to achieve our collective purpose by the grace of the Almighty God. Amen.
