2nd National Runner Up, Mr. Antiku Abdulai in Volta Region, Ho

A renowned farmer well known in Upper West has won the 2nd Runner Up Position at this year’s farmer’s day Awards organized in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital of Ghana.

Mr. Antiku Abdulai Popularly Known and Called Antika Was Adjudged 2nd Best After Mr. Charles Gyamfi was Awarded the Overall best National Farmer for 2019 and Took home a cash amount of Ghc 536,000 from Agricultural Development Bank and Nana Yaw Sarpong Siribuo, from Juabeng in
the Ashanti Region is the first runner-up and Mr Abdulai Antiku Seidu from the
Upper West Region, the second runner-up.

A total of 127 other winners from across the
country at the regional and national levels were honoured.
President Akufo-Addo in an address
reiterated the call on the citizenry to eat local rice.

He said attaining self-sufficiency in rice
production meant the country was experiencing breakthroughs in agriculture and
necessary that citizens’ eat local foods to motivate farmers and grow the local
economy.
