AgriAccess Ghana limited an Agric focus company has donated assorted items in various categories to the Upper West Regional health directorate towards ensuring the preparation of the region and its frontline workers in the fight against the corona virus pandemic.
The items which were received by the Regional health director of health services Dr. Osei Afreh Kuffuor were in various categories according to the requirements for the covid 19 fight. The items include; Liquid soap 4/5litres, Hand sanitizers 5 liters 10, Hand sanitizers 250ml 40, Tissue paper 13 packs, Toilet rolls 10 packs, N95 Nose masks 2boxes, Water bottle 10 boxes.
In a speech during the presentation of the items to the Regional Health Directorate, Mr Anthony Poore, the Managing Director of AgriAccess Ghana Company Limited said the gesture is in line with their vision to helping better position the region in readiness for a likely spike in numbers of virus cases and to help keep citizens in the region safe.
Mr Anthony Poore further acknowledged that, their preparedness for the farming season has stalled some of their activities as there is so much uneasiness on the part of farmers with the fear that a lockdown might delay the transportation of fertilizers and other farm inputs into the region. He used the occassion to call on the minister for food and Agriculture to as a matter of urgency start the distribution of fertilizer across the country making good use of the one constituency one ware-house.
Dr Osei Afreh Kuffuor, the Regional Director Of Health Services in the Upper West Region used the gesture to show their appreciation AgriAcess Ghana for the kind act, showing how grateful the directorate is to all individuals and corporate institutions for their support so far, adding that the fight against covid19 can only be won when everyone comes together and contribute their effort.
Mr.Anthony Poore also thanked the regional hospital for the great work they doing whiles assuring them of the company’s continue support in the coming days.
