
Passengers being Checked for Covid-19 in Upper West
Positive Cases of Coronavirus in Upper West has risen uncontrollably from one to seven in a fortnight.
The follows a sharp rise of National cases from 487 to 566 in almost a month.
The six positive cases were recorded after first case was confirmed on the 27th of March 2020 by the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih.
The influx of immigrants in the region has been blamed for the rise as many have called for swift measures including a lock down I’m Upper West to Manage the Global Pandemic.
Upper East, a region close to Upper West has also recorded its forth case in a week, this has made the number of regions with positive COVID-19 cases 10 out of 16 Regions.
The first suspect diagnosed with the Virus travelled from Italy through to Egypt into the Country and finally to Upper West.
