Muslims in Upper West have confirmed tomorrow 24th April 2020 as a day to begin the observation of Ramadan in the Region and World at large.
According to the Islamic Calendar, 23rd April was the Recommended Date but due to no sign of the moon, the fasting was shifted to 24th of April.
Though the fasting is expected to be smooth, several have sighted coronavirus as a challenge to the season as group prayers won’t be observed as usual, others opined that this years fasting will not be different experience as compared with others because the act is from the heart and the virus won’t be a Barrier.
The holy season is expected to last 30 days as observed annually.
