The Wa Municipal Assembly has Kept a Temporal Ban on Weekly Market Activities In  the Regional capital.

Markets including Wa and Piisi Markets will be affected by the Decision.

According to a letter dated 25th April 2020, a Board Meeting was held on the 23rd of April 2020 Chaired by the Wa Central Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin.

All Market activities are to be beginning 1st May 2020. Drivers and tricycle users were also admonished to used face masks to curb the spread of Covid-19 as decided by the Wa Municipal Security Committee.
