The Vehicle Company Transport s over 40 people in a bus from Wa to Kumasi and fro despite a directive from the Presidency amidst the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
People sit close to each other for over 7hours travelling for over 400km without Nose Masks and the social Distance directive being observed.
Checks by Upperwestmedia Team proved these passengers despite being put together without social Distance are extorted by the transport company in the form of lorry fares.
Passengers who used to pay Ghc50 from Wa to Kumasi now pay Ghc65 for the same distance with passenger spacing as the reason for the increment. Most passengers questioned the reason for the increment in lorry fares when in actual sense the number of passengers remained same and fuel prices were down.
