
Passengers being Checked for Covid-19 in Upper West
President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that Upper West alongside some other regions in the Northern sector have recorded no new Covid-19 cases.
He made this statement when he was delivering his 15th Address on Sunday 16th of August 2020.
He Assured that the Pandemic is being managed to significantly reduce reduce its spread. He assured that the boarders of Ghana will be opened on 1st of September whilst he also instructed that continuing students should return to school on the 24th of August to complete their studies for the semester.
Statement
Currently, there are no recorded COVID-19 cases in the North East, Savannah, Upper East and Upper West Regions, and I charge their residents to do everything possible to maintain that situation. Greater Accra, Ashan-
ti, Central, Eastern, and Western continue to be the Regions with the highest number of active cases.
