Akufo-Addo to Tour Upper West Region

President Akufo-Addo will tour Upper West in October

President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo will be visiting the Upper West Region on a two days tour as part of arrangements to commission some finished projects in the region.

ITINERARY FOR HIS VISIT TO THE REGION

On the 7th of October 2020, the President will be visiting the Newly coronated Yeri-Naa at 9:00am

He will proceed to Address the Members of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs at 10:00am, He will be meeting pastors and other members of the Christian faith at 11:30 am, The President will proceed to Wa East District to inspect ongoing works on the Wa-Bulenga Road and durbar of Chiefs of people of Manwe in the Same district at 1:00pm. He will proceed to the Daffiama-Bussie-Issah District to commission a warehouse at Bussie at exactly 2:30pm. The President will proceed to the Sissala West District to join the Durbar of Chiefs and People of Gwollu at 4:00pm, The convoy will proceed to Sissala East where a 12 unit classroom block will be commissioned for the Tumu Senior High Technical School as part expanding infrastructure with regards to the Free SHS Policy all on the 7th of October 2020.

On Thursday 8th of October 2020, the President will have a courtesy call on Wa Naa at 9:30am, he will attend a radio program at Radio Upper West which is a GBC medium at 10:30am.

He’ll afterwards attend a durbar of Chiefs in Nadowli-Kaleo District at 12 Noon after which he will have a Whistle stop at Jirapa Duori, the Hometown of Simon Diedong Dombo at 2:00 pm, He’ll proceed to Lawra to cut Sod for Construction of Dikpe Bridge and Durbar of People of Lawra at 3:00pm, the president will Afterwards Commission a Solar Power Plant in Lawra at 4:30pm.

The President will move from Lawra to Lambusie to Commission small town Water System at Hamile at 5:30pm.

He will return to Wa Municipality where he will be meeting with Regional Executives, Parliamentary Candidates and MMDCEs at 8:00pm.
