NDC Loses Secretary 8 Days to Elections

Wa East NDC Secretary, Kuri Suglo

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary for Wa East Constituency, Mr. Kuri Suglo has been reported dead after a short illness. This occured on the 29th of November 2020.

He went Unopposed during the 2018 delegates conference alongside the constituency’s Chairman, Abu Balifiamah.

Mr. Suglo was also the Assembly Member for Jeyiri in the Wa East Constituency before his demise.

The Constituency Chairman has Tagged the incidence as a big blow to the party as the elections are 8 days away.

This is the second of similar incident as the constituency chairman of Dafiama-Issa-Busie constituency lost its party chairman in a robbery attack on the Jang road, Mr. Richard Puolabong was shot in the chest twice by unknown gunmen and according to eyewitnesses the fled into the bushes.

The flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama and other dignitaries attended the funeral in Upper West during the sad occasion.

Some people in the Upper West Region has since gone to social media to bid the Late secretary a farewell.

Upper West Region has 11 Constituencies and won 6 seats out of the 11 seats whilst the new patriotic party won 5 seats.
