Residents of Owolo in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District have expressed fear worry about the state of a dam in the community, which they say has posed a threat to their lives.

They said the dam which was constructed under the One Village One Dam project, was close a road in the community and that the level of the water could break the road and spill over into the community.

Speaking the Assembly Member of the community, who only gave his name as Saanah, he said they opened to drain the water in the dam but the water keeps rising which is a source of worry to them.

The one Village one dam project was initiated by President Akufo-Addo to assist rural areas is farming and other agricultural activities. Some of these dams have been built in several communities within the Dafiama-Issa-Busie district including Kojokperi.

The Dafiama-Issa-Busie District has Mr. Naadi Sanda Imoro as it’s District Chief Executive and Dr. Sebastian Saandare as it’s Member of Parliament.

    So what is the DCE doing about that? Or is it because he has not been reappointed yet, he has relaxed er? Keep reporting on it and the government will surely intervene.
