Director of Health for Wa West District
Assembly Member for Gbache Electoral Area in the Wa West District, Mr Peter Seidu Kaadaare, has called on the Wa West District Health Directorate and the District Assembly to provide the electoral area with a health facility to help ease the challenges the people go through in accessing healthcare services.
They said sick person including pregnant women have to travel to Wa or Dorimon to access healthcare and delivery service.
Mr Kaadaare, who said this in an interview with Info Radio in Wa, observed that the lack of a facility in the area has posed a serious health risk to the people.
Mr Kaadaare expressed fear that the people in the area, especially, pregnant women, children and the aged will not be able to access healthcare services as the rain sets in due to the bad state of the road.
According to him, pregnant women sometimes delivers on the way to Dorimon or Wa where they access delivery services.
The Assembly Man indicated that he has written to the Wa West District Health Directorate, the District Chief Executive and the Former Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Joseph Yieleh Chireh requesting the health facility but is yet to receive a positive feedback
