The Member of Parliament for Jirapa Municipality,  Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah has opted to support a brilliant but needy student in his constituency. He made this known on his official social media handle.

Statement

“Following this story by 3news Network on the pitiable plight of Mr Alex Lieyuor a native of Tuolong in my Constituency, I am delighted to have acted swiftly to give the brilliant but needy young man an opportunity to further his education.

In this light, I have made provision for him to apply to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Ghana to pursue his desired course of study at my expense as the Member Of Parliament.

In the interim, I have equally made arrangements with the Headmaster of the Yagha JHS for Mr Alex Lieyuor to offer his services as a stopgap teacher with a monthly allowance from my office until such a time that he will be offered an admission to further his studies.

It is my considered view that his sterling academic performance from such a deplorable and difficult background will be a huge motivation and inspiration to the students that he will be teaching.

The development and advancement of the human resource potential of the Jirapa Constituency is of utmost priority to me as the Member of Parliament.
